Fun homemade gifts to give this Christmas..

I love giving homemade gifts, that is when I have time to make them. This year, just like others past is another busy one. Not much time to make as many fun things, but these are just a few of the fun stuff I have had a chance to make for Christmas this year!

Vic, (my husband) & I have had a hard time trying to come up with something to give our friends & neighbors, & of course at the last minute we found this cute little thing about "nuts". Vic just wanted to give the bags of peanuts, but I can't do that when I know I can spice it up some way! So after trying several things out, I came up with this box! It was fun to do & fit the whole bag of nuts in it too.

My last picture is of a Christmas table runner I made. I love making these when I have time, they are so much fun! The picture is kind of dark, but I hope you can see it well enough.

Fall Milk Carton

I have been wanting to try out these milk cartons in other decorations other than the Christmas one I have been teaching at my workshops. I had this vision of one in my head & couldn't wait to get it on paper. It turned out so much better than I thought it would! It is by far one of my favorites!

November Stamp Of The Month-Around the Block

So I thought this would be an interesting way to show off the 2009 November SOTM. I got this idea from my sister-n-law Sallie. (thanks Sallie!) I was having a hard time thinking of what I was going to come up with, & she mentioned it would be a cute haunted house. So I played around with it & came up with this. I hate to use another stamp set when I am trying to show off the SOTM, but I had to use another one to help this look so spooky. I used the stamp set Spellbound. I like how it turned out, but unfortunately you can't see all the detail on here. Once I used this set, I did have fun with it, & think you could make a cute gingerbread house with it too. Thanks for looking!

You're a hoot!

My son, Colton & his class was learning about "Owl's" today at preschool, & Close To My Heart has the cutest owl stamps, I have been just itching to use! So I decided at the last moment this morning to make all his classmates a cute little bookmark with one of the cute little owls on it! I love putting the googly eyes on the owls to give them even more character! Just thought I would share! They really are cuter in person though! :)

School Receptionist Gift

These two mini backpacks I made up quickly (as you can tell) to give the 2 awesome receptionist at Hunter & Chase's school. Last week, when I got my wisdom teeth out, my mom took Chase to school. It was early out Wednesday & instead of going to school at 12:20, Chase needed to be to school at 11:55. My mom still got the time wrong & dropped Chase off to school at 11:20! So, here was Chase at school more than a half hour early & so they kept him at the office, sat him down, got him some lunch from the cafeteria & entertained him till his class started! I thought I would make them something fun as a Huge Thanks from me that they took such great care of him! I filled them with yummy chocolate of course! I got the cute school paper & ribbon at JoAnns, & the buttons are from Close To My Heart.

I am celebrating a few fun anniversaries in the month of September, & October.  I now have been an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart now for 5 years September 7th!  Thank you to all my great Customers who have helped me get this far!  I want you to know-I appreciate all you do for me & the friendship's are the best of all!
My husband Vic, & I are celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary tomorrow, October 1st!  I am so blessed to be married to my Best Friend!  He & my 4 boys are EVERYTHING to me!
