2015 Valentines - Rubber band bracelet & Arrow Valentines

Rubber band Bracelet & Arrow Valentines
All Packaged & ready to go!

Do you ever get one of those ideas & think, yeah, that's a great idea!  Yep, I had one of those ideas for Valentines when I came across this really cute blog allfortheboys.com.  I was actually looking for cub scout idea's, & found this blog & thought what a cute idea for Valentines, my boys will LOVE these!  Since I had only 3 boys in grade school now, with my older one in 7th, & not having to do Valentines for school this year, I figured less Valentines to do!

Well 92 Valentines later.....
Yep, I made 92 rubber band bracelets (that's over 1300 rubber bands), & 92 of these paper straws with the paper fletchings & heart tips.  It wasn't such a great idea after all, when my boys started giving up on helping me!  Although my 12 year old did pitch in & helped make 4 of the rubberband bracelets, ha ha!  My dear hubby also helped put some of the fletchings on, so he was awesome to help out too.  But now that they are all done, & heard from my 5th grader how much the kids in his class loved them, it makes it all worth it!

Here is my 5th grader with his Valentines box he made.  He wanted to make it to go with his Valentines he gave away.  Isn't he sweet! :)

Happy Valentines!

Wedding Guest Album - Flip Flap Album & True Fit Folio's

Close up of Inside of album (Aren't they the cutest couple!)

Completely Open!

This is a little album that kept me busy this Spring.  My Niece asked me if I would like to make her Wedding Guest Book.  So we sat down & figured up what would be fun & unique to do.  I thought it would be fun to do it in an album, that way she can stick it in her wedding album just like a scrapbook page.  I needed a lot of open pages for room for the guests to sign, & make it so it would not be too bulky.  This is what I came up with!  I had so much fun doing this album, & it was VERY hard to have those open spaces for signatures, because I'm used to filling those "blanks" up with fun stuff!
True Fit Folio - Front Cover
 True Fit Folio - Inside
 True Fit Folio - Backside
True Fit Folio Backwards (Cover & Backside)

We weren't sure how much she would need to sign, & since they were doing their reception where she was from, & then another Open house where the Groom was from, we decided to make this extra "Page" just in case, which was perfect by the time they finished up both their receptions, they had all of these pages filled, with just a little bit to spare!
Those little flourishes were SOOOO time consuming to cut out & glue,
but LOVE how they look when done!
So much fun to Papercraft!

Cub Scouts Den Doodle

 Before Picture
After Painted, modge podged, & hooked!
Finished Project!

Here is one of the reasons why I am so behind on post's lately!  Since I have been called in as assistant Cub Scout Master, my life has been even busier than before!  Most of us are all new to this, & the "clean up" has kept us busy!  You could say our Cub Scout programs hasn't been at its greatest the last few years, so we have been busy, busy!
This is a fun Den Doodle to keep our Cub Scouts motivated to come to scouts.  Each leather string holds a feather I made with my Silhouette, with each boy's name & then laminated, stuck on hemp, & then on the leather.  Each time the boys come to scouts they can earn up to 3 beads a meeting, 1 for coming, 1 for wearing their scout shirt, & 1 for bring their scout book.  Once they hit 12 or 15 beads (can't remember, my brain is so boggled) they will earn a candy bar!  Then we take the beads off & start over.  So far it's been a hit with the boys!  We have so many Cubs, it's crazy, & maybe only half of them actually show up.  We are hoping to get as many as we can that is in our ward & get our Cub Scout program back up to par!

We were trying to come up with ideas for a stand or post, & I remembered I had this wood Eagle cut out probably 10 or more years ago, & never finished.  So it worked out great for this project!
I just wanted to show how much papercrafting can be fun for just about anything!

2012 Teacher Christmas Gifts

This is what I made for my boy's Teacher Christmas gifts for 2012.  Thought it would be fun to make these way fun calendar box's from Silhouette.  I had to make 7 of them, since my preschooler goes to 2 different preschools, & my 3rd grader has 2 teachers.  So much for 4 boys & four teachers, huh?!?  They turned out way cute!  Can't wait to make some more!

Wedding invitation Envelope

375 of these cut from my Cricut machine. Then scored by hand

Bottom scored & folded, & glued at sides to make nifty little pockets to hold the ceremony cards & such.

One of my kid's favorite Teacher, & her daughter hired me to make their unique wedding envelope. She had seen an invitation similar to this, but the company wanted over $700 to make 350 of them. So she called me up & asked me what I could do. Her daughter had made up one how she wanted it done, so I sat down on my computer & made up a template to cut with my Cricut. There was NO way I was going to cut all those out by hand, LOL! Anyway, here is the end result. She is going to do the old fashioned wax seal, to seal the envelope shut. I can't wait to see how that turns out!

It's amazing what you can do with your Cricut & Silhouette machines, when you have time to play with them!
